What inspires us - IMPACT 907 Values

Upholding the Alaskan & Northwest communities by centralizing local voice on our mutual journey toward equitable and culturally relevant resource access and connection, while impacting systems change.

1. Authenticity: Our values, ideals, and actions align. At Impact 907, we choose to be honest with ourselves and others about our experiences and perspectives, and we are willing to learn from and grow beyond our mistakes.

2. We value humans: We chose to acknowledge the value and potential of all individuals in our communities. Each unique person brings perspective that enrichens our understanding.

3. We are creative and adaptable: We are actively committed to the hard work of self-reflection and creating space where people with different points of view can thrive and connect together. We recognize that people are unique, and we value our differences. We embrace disagreements and differences while upholding each person’s value as central to our motivation which allows for creativity of perspectives to evolve.

4. Community voice and relationships are central to our passion: We are committed to being an organization that builds and maintains trust. We know that vulnerability often comes with inherent personal risk. We actively remind ourselves that centering relationships and community perspective takes intention and the prioritization of shared well-being. This practice takes reciprocal strength, experience, and humility to build and maintain.

5. We practice radical listening: We are committed to listening with curiosity and allowing for organic conversations to develop. This process takes time and patience as we practice empathy and test out different strategies and solutions together for the benefit of our communities.

Everyone belongs.

We are committed to anti-racism and self-reflective practices. This includes the understanding and implementation of Liberatory Design. We are committed to outgrowing any biases that inform decision-making and goals for Impact 907. We hold to the ethics that all humans -regardless of race, color, ancestry, national origin, creed, religion, sex, gender, gender expression, identity, ability, disability, age, military/veteran status, or other status - have value and innate worth; including employees, subcontractors, community members, volunteers, partners, and other persons within our community.
